Choosing a package

Which health check is right for me?

A short guide to help you decide.

You can also compare all options on our private health check packages page.

Cancer Marker Health Checks include cancer-related markers and FIT bowel screening, but they cannot diagnose or rule out cancer. A raised result can help flag patterns and support a conversation with your GP. If you have symptoms that are worrying you, please speak to your GP rather than relying on a screening result.

Why prices vary

What affects private health check prices?

Private health check prices across the UK vary widely. A few of the factors that can affect what you pay:

  • How broad the test panel and in-clinic assessment are.
  • Whether the package includes 12-lead ECG, urinalysis and additional measurements.
  • The length of the appointment and the depth of result interpretation.
  • Whether the panel includes specialist tests, such as cancer marker testing or hormone panels.
  • Whether the provider runs large national clinics or smaller local clinics.

How we compare

How Optimum Health Screening compares

Our prices sit in the typical UK range for private health checks, but the way we work is a little different.

  • Transparent fixed prices, with no surprises at the end of the appointment.
  • Around 30-minute appointments at our Kingston upon Thames and Crawley clinics.
  • Serving patients across Surrey, South West London and West Sussex from our two clinics.
  • UKAS-accredited lab testing.
  • Bupa-trained Health Adviser.
  • No GP referral needed for adults aged 18–79.
  • No fasting required for our health check packages.
  • Results report usually within 2–5 working days, with plain-English explanations.

Most patients find better value in a full health check package, which combines a broader blood panel with in-clinic clinical checks and a structured review. If you would prefer a single blood test instead, please contact us to discuss the right option for you.
